Mondo To Host ‘The Comics Art Of Francesco Francavilla’ Gallery Show
Mondo certainly has a great eye for art, and not only does it help produce some of the coolest looking prints, statues, records and pretty much anything else it can get its hands on, it knows to celebrate great artists with free gallery shows highlighting the work of artists from across genres and mediums.
Later this month, Mondo will be hosting one of these gallery shows in its home base of Austin, Texas celebrating the work of Francesco Francavilla who this year is celebrating his tenth year as a comics professional. Also available at the show will be four limited edition screen prints highlighting the artist's range.
In a press release provided by Mondo, its Head of Creative Production, Eric Garza, said
"We’re huge admirers of both the stunning quality and unique breadth of work Francesco Francavilla has contributed to the world of comic books throughout his career. Walk down the aisle of any comic shop and you’re sure to notice his artwork adorning several covers, whether it be titles from the big two, Marvel and DC, or Archie, or Dark Horse, or Dynamite, or even his creator-owned The Black Beetle. From his striking and bold colors to an affinity for all things pulp, noir and adventure, Francesco stands in a league of his own and we’re proud to present The Comic Art of Francesco Francavilla"
The show will be open to the public from Aug. 26 when there will be a special opening reception from 7PM-10PM. The gallery show will run until Sept. 10 and can be visited any time during gallery hours which are 12PM-6PM, Tuesday to Wednesday.
