New ‘Adventure Time’ Art for Cartoon Network Series

If you haven't seen the animated short Adventure Time by Pendleton Ward -- and therefore the phrases "Abraham Lincoln on Mars" and "flying electric guitar penguins" mean nothing to you -- then immediately proceed to the Youtube video after the jump and enlighten yourself.

The animated short, which was originally aired on Nicktoons to little fanfare, was leaked on the internet and quickly became a cult hit because it is AWESOME. The buzz convinced The Cartoon Network to pick up the short as a series that's set to debut this spring, and Executive Producer Fred Seibert has been posting cool concept art -- and fan art! -- from the series on his Flickr page and website, including storyboards and brief clips from the new series!
