Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice doesn’t hit theaters until next March (if you can believe it), but we’ve already been inundated with so much marketing, including teasers, trailers, featurettes, photos, viral websites, et al. Compare that to Disney’s approach with marketing Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it seems like a lot — and here’s one more! But this latest feature is pretty interesting, as it gives us a closer look at the new costumes for Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.

The new video comes straight from DC Entertainment, and features a chat with costume designer Michael Wilkinson at NYCC. Standing in front of the actual costumes, Wilkinson discusses the “labor of love” and piles of homework that went into these designs, pointing out a few interesting things you might not notice, like the Kryptonian script that’s actually woven into Superman’s costume — and which might be kind of important at some point in the film. As for Batman’s new costume, Wilkinson explains that they really wanted to show off his “mountains of muscle,” and they seem to have succeeded because Ben Affleck looks like a monster in the photos and footage we’ve seen so far.

Perhaps even more interesting is the design for Wonder Woman, which incorporates “supernatural”-looking accessories to reinforce her mythology and immortality. Gal Gadot is making her debut as the iconic superhero in the film before getting her own solo adventure, beating Marvel to the solo-female-superhero-film punch.

You can also see some concept designs in the feature above, which give you a small idea of the evolution of these designs — and regardless of how Zack Snyder’s new superhero film turns out, at least it’s going to look great.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, 2016.
