For the past few years, rumors about what DC Comics property WB Montreal was working on developing a game around have swirled. The Suicide Squad was an early candidate, as were Superman and the Justice League, but nothing had ever materialized from any of those potential titles in the years since WB Montreal wrapped production on Batman: Arkham Origins. Now, according to a new report, it's sounding like we haven't heard much about the Suicide Squad game because it's been canceled all together.

In 2009, more than 20 years after it was originally published, DC Comics and Warner Bros. finally made a Watchmen movie adaptation happen. Under the direction of Zack Snyder, working off a scrip from David Hayter and Alex Tse, the cinematic version of Alan Moore's and Dave Gibbons' celebrated superhero saga was above all else, memorable. As was customary at the time, a tie-in video game was in the works, and Warner Bros. heard a number of pitches from various studios. Though we ultimately got the unremarkable Watchmen: The End is Nigh, there was once a chance Bottle Rocket Entertainment could have handled the development of some slightly more ambitious Watchmen adventures. Until now, we never knew what could have been, but thanks to Unseen64, we now know a bit about what Bottle Rocket had planned, and how its ideas were ultimately abandoned thanks in no small part to Zack Snyder and DC hero, The Flash.

As of late, Conan's comic adventures have been infrequent though glorious. The character created by Robert E. Howard in the '30s is still popular enough to get new stories every now and then however, and the Cimmerian still shows up in other media like films and games as well. In fact, Conan's next comic journey will actually tie into his upcoming video game, Conan Exiles.

Its cute designs and fun scripts have been a bright light of superheroic fun, and its willingness to feature new and niche characters alongside A-list heavyweights has been a highlight of the gameplay experience. However, since the game's launch, there have been a number of characters fans have been clamoring to get their hands on, and now it seems a number of them are coming all at once, as Marvel and TinyCo have announced the December event will be themed around A-Force, bringing the likes of Captain Marvel, She-Hulk and Ms. America to the campus.

This weekend Marvel and Capcom announced the fourth proper entry in the long-running Marvel vs. Capcom series, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite. The debut teaser saw the returns of familiar faces like Iron Man and Ryu, while also introducing Mega Man X and Captain Marvel into the fighting franchise for the first time. Now, a new gameplay trailer has arrived, giving us a better idea of what to expect from each of these characters when the fighting starts. Oh, and it looks like Captain America and Morrigan are along for the ride again too.
