A classic of indie comics is returning in 2017, and it's in full color for the first time. Box Office Poison is the magnum opus of cartoonist Alex Robinson, a sprawling saga about what people give up for their art, and for what people give up their art. And now Robinson's art is being colored by Pat N. Lewis, giving a whole new look to the original comics.

On this day in 1981, the Rocketeer, a high-flying two-fisted hero created by the legendary Dave Stevens, made his first full appearance in comics. But the Rocketeer isn't a hero of 1981, he's a hero of 1938. In a very real way he's the product of both time periods, and united them in a manner that would influence many comics to come.

Four of 2016's biggest movie heroes are finally making their way to comics in 2017. I'm speaking, of course, about the Ghostbusters Abby Yates, Erin Gilbert, Jillian Holtzmann, and Patty Tolan. IDW's new series Ghostbusters 101 will feature that quartet teaming up with the original team of Peter, Ray, Egon, and Winston for the first time. The creative team is Erik Burnham, Dan Schoening, and Luis Antonio Delgado, who've already helmed a great many IDW comics about the original Ghostbusters.
