New ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ Trailer Isn’t Afraid; It’s Angry (and Funny) [Video]

Warner Bros. in partnership with Nokia have released a new full-length trailer for The Dark Knight Rises, the third and final Batman film by Christopher Nolan. The clip, which you can see below, features previously released footage along with a number of new shots and dialogue and a thrilling piece of music by Hans Zimmer to create the most exciting — and indeed, most humorous — trailer we’ve seen yet for the film.

Obviously, Nolan Spoiler Protocols (whereby every detail that’s perceptible, vaguely inferred or even completely imagined is a potential spoiler) are in full effect.

Based on the Batman characters created by Bob Kane, Bill Finger, Doug Moench, Chuck Dixon, Graham Nolan and others, The Dark Knight Rises opens in the US on July 20.
