The Guardians Of The Galaxy’s Space Pod Lands at Marvel’s Comic-Con Booth

Follow ComicsAlliance on Instagram for more from Comic-Con 2014

We don’t know what this thing is actually for in the Guardians of the Galaxy movie out next month, but it sure looks like you can take your picture with it at San Diego’s Comic-Con this weekend. The Marvel Comics booth will have plenty of other stuff to check out, including human beings who make comic books for — some of them starriing the Guardians of the Galaxy, such as Skottie Young’s Rocket Raccoon and Sam Humphries & Paco Medina’s The Legendary Star-Lord and, yes, Brian Michael Bendis and co.’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Also movie stars.

Find out who’ll be on hand to talk in the schedule graphics below.

About Rocket Racoon Co-Creator Bill Mantlo

If you enjoy the Guardians of the Galaxy comic books and plan to see the movie, consider making a donation to the continued healthcare costs of disabled Rocket Raccoon co-creator Bill Mantlo, whose insurance provides only the most minimal level of care for someone with his needs. You can read more about Mr. Mantlo’s life and plight in this in-depth article by Bill Coffin.

Mantlo is just one of numerous veteran comic book creators in need. You can learn more about artists like him and their lives at the Hero Initiative, the comic book industry’s non-profit organization that offers aid to the men and women who created the industry and work which now fuels Hollywood’s biggest success.
