If you're a die-hard fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, then there's a chance that you saw the first Equestria Girls movie that came out last year. If that's the case, feel free to skip ahead. Everybody else, settle in, this is going to get weird real quick.

So you know how My Little Pony is about horses? Well, in order to capitalize on an expansion of toy line that I am 100% certain was inspired by DeviantArt, Hasbro produced an animated movie where of the horses went through a magic mirror to an alternate dimension where all the horses were humans and went to high school, where they then dressed as horses and then eventually turned into pony/human hybrids so that they could fight an Actual Satan who wanted to be homecoming queen. And if you were paying attention, you'll noticed that I referred to that as the first such film. The sequel is out in September, and now they are finally showing us what it's going to be about: bass guitar solos.

Yes, it seems that My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic: Equestria Girls: Rainbow Rocks is going to take everyone's favorite pony-people-ponies and follow the logical conclusion of any cartoon group of friends by turning them into a band. A band that, it seems, is set to play the county fair:

 

 

The movie will be seeing a limited release in theaters starting September 27, so... there's that!
