Highlander: The American Dream #1 [Exclusive Preivew]
"There can be only one." It's a catch phrase that immediately calls back to one singular franchise, The Highlander. Though the film and television series both came to a rather unspectacular close way, way back, they both revealed the best way to tell new Highlander stories was to set them all in the past. Good thing that's exactly what IDW is planning to do with its new series, Highlander: The American Dream.

Did You Vote To Make America Great Again? Read These Comics!
Today is Inauguration Day, and Donald Trump is the 45th president of the United States. And really, it's obvious why he won. After eight years with one of the most qualified and accomplished presidents in generations, what America really needed was a vain, egotistical, thin-skinned braggart with a long history of bullying and abusive statements, absolutely no experience in public service, and a track record of astonishing failure. If you voted to Make America Great Again, here are some comics to dig into while you wait for all those manufacturing jobs to come back, and for those pesky SJWs to finally be put in their place.

Exploring Stela's First Wave of New Digital Comics
Stela is a new smartphone app that offers original, exclusive comics optimized for the phone-reading experience. Chapters release every week, and you can read them all for a flat subscription fee of $5 a month. Reading the comics in Stela is smooth and intuitive. Each chapter is read via a downward scroll, and it totally works. Stela moves beyond Comixology's Guided View technology to offer comics that were born to be read on phones, and the result is extremely effective and, at its best, beautiful. However, there are some things about the app that I don't love. All I want is to look at a simple list or menu of the titles available, but Stela doesn't want to give me that, just a sliding visual menu along the bottom of the screen. Also when I was reading a comic, I wanted to be reminded of the title, and there seems to be no way to bring that up without exiting the reading experience. But let's take a look at opening wave of comics available so far to help give you a sense of what Stela has to offer.

Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy of crime novels first rocked best-seller lists with millions of copies sold; then it became a big-screen success -- twice -- with both Swedish-language and Hollywood movies; and it plans to take on comic books when Stieg Larsson's The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Vol...
