We've already seen the rest of Bandai's planned offerings from Avengers: Age of Ultron, and the Hulkbuster was teased not that long ago. Now we've got our first official look at the magnificent beast, and it is glorious. And expensive.
There are currently very few ways to get a standalone Hulkbuster action figure, and there are even fewer ways to get one at a reasonable price. While the price point on the upcoming SH Figuarts Hulkbuster is likely to turn many of you away, it is still quite a bit cheaper than the Hot Toys version. It'll also be just a tad bit more expensive than trying to hunt down all the figures in Hasbro's Hulkbuster BAF wave coming this summer.
Each weekday, ComicsAlliance brings you a carefully selected variety of links from around the web about comics and comics-related media, including movies, video games, toys, and whatever else might be worth noting. Quite frankly, these are items you may just need to know about to have a productive day. Take a look at today's hand-picked links after the jump.
When I was a kid, there was about a year where I got really into building models, mainly because I didn't have many friends and that was the easiest way that you could get a giant Darth Vader with a glow-in-the-dark lightsaber. It didn't last too long since the enjoyment that I got from putting things together moved back into LEGO sets, but it was enough that I get a little twinge of nostalgia from it -- especially when I see something like Bandai's new line of Sprükits Action Figure Model Kits.
The deal with them is that they're not just models, they're kits for building fully poseable action figures with accessories that require no scissors, glue or paint. You just snap it all together, and judging by the Arkham City Batman figure that I just put together, they're actually pretty cool.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, but its Super Sentai source material from Japan is set to hit an even bigger milestone next year as Shotaro Ishinimori's Himitsu Sentai Gorenger turns 40. Fans won't have to wait to celebrate, however, as Bandia will release the series' uncommonly athletic leader Akarenger (Red Ranger) in S.H. Figuarts action figure form this September.
Every weekend here at ComicsAlliance we’re cracking open the latest and/or just greatest action figures around to see what sets them apart from the articulated plastic pack. This week we’re unboxing Bandai's new S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider Kabuto, which is the line's second attempt at the character. What's new? What's different? Turns out, quite a bit -- and the advancements could chart the future of the entire S.H. figuarts line. Watch the full review to see what we mean after the jump.
After a few years of relative quiet, Shotaro Ishinimori's Kikaider is set for a major resurgence. On May 18 a new version of the android hero will team with Kamen Rider Gaim in the 30th episode of the character's eponymous tokusatsu series to fight Kikaider's classic rival Hakaider. One week later on May 24 the conscience-circuit-equipped robot will star in a solo film, Kikaider REBOOT, which could result in an ongoing TV series. Though action figure fans will have to wait until April of 2015 to unbox it, Bandai Japan has opened preorders for a limited edition S.H. Figuarts action figure incarnation of the character's 1971 manga and TV style.

Action figure collectors will soon be able to assemble Sailor Moon's core crew of Sailor Scouts. This September Sailor Jupiter will join Sailors Moon, Mercury, Mars and Venus as part of Banai's S.H. Figuarts line. Like the other figures in the line, SJ seems modeled principally after the Sailor Moon anime that originally ran in the '90s, but it should still sit fine with readers of creator Naoko Takeuchi's manga and the upcoming Sailor Moon Crystal anime based on her art style.
Get ready to play with fire. This September Bandai will expand its Tamashii Nations Effect Impact line to include sprawling sets of both blue and red plastic "flame" for any fiery action figure display need.
