Surprise! Earlier this week, word got around that Daredevil Season 2 might go head to head against Batman and Superman with a March 25 premiere, but it seems Matt Murdock will beat even the world’s finest to the punch. Just before 2015 signed off, Netflix surprised Marvel fans with a first look at Daredevil Season 2, spilling a few photos and details ahead of the presumed spring premiere. Buried amid the reports however, was a suggestion that Season 2 might premiere in March of 2016, rather than the April of last year, so is it too good to be true?

Two deep into Marvel’s Netflix Defenders series, the separation between Marvel’s TV and movie characters has become clearer than ever. Many have hoped that the Phase 3 culmination of Avengers: Infinity War might finally bridge the gulf, including everyone from Agents of .S.H.I.E.L.D. to Daredevil and Jessica Jones in the fight against Thanos, but co-director Anthony Russo doesn’t seem terribly optimistic.
