One of the most accepted truisms in super-hero comics is that there's not a whole lot of new stuff to be found underneath Earth's yellow sun. With seventy years of heroes, villains, selfless acts and dastardly schemes, plenty of creators have come up with bold new ideas, only to find out that they were done years ago.
