As everyone knows, Spider-Man's costume is the best; a true masterpiece of design. The webbing, the colors, the chevron belt, the split arms, the wide-eyed mask; it's all perfect. Steve Ditko smashed it out of the park. It's also inspired some amazing costumes, like the black Spider-Man costume designed by Mike Zeck in 1984 (reportedly based on a suggestion by fan Randy Schueller), and this year's Spider-Gwen costume by Robbi Rodriguez.
And then there's Spider-Woman. Her costume was designed in 1972 by Marie Severin, and it hasn't really changed since -- and I hate it almost as much as I love Spider-Man's costume. It's ugly, tacky, and it doesn't match the personality of Jessica Drew, the woman behind the mask. So I'm delighted that artist Kris Anka has given Jess a new set of togs that look chic, modern, and appropriate to her character.

Riding the shield-slinging Captain America: The Winter Soldier promotional blitz that kicked off on Sunday, Gameloft has released its first trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier: The Official Game. Headed to iOS, Android and Windows 8 mobile devices on April 4 -- the same day the movie opens -- the new game promises "an original blend of combat action and flexible tactical options." The trailer is more straightforward, though, and simply shows Captain America smashing faces.
For fans who can't wait until November 8 to see Thor chuck his mystical mallet at bad guys spanning the nine realms in theaters, Gameloft's Thor: The Dark World - The Official Game may just sate the ol' Midgardian appetite for Mjolnir-izing. Now available for free on iOS and Android devices, the new action title approximates the events of the Thor: The Dark World movie in a battle against Malekith the Dark Elf and his evil forces, who are seemingly *snort* Hel-bent on destroying every brach of Yggdrasil.
Marvel's Thor: The Dark World movie arrives in theaters on November 8, and along with, Gameloft's official mobile video game version. Wanna smash things with crazy combos and exaggerated animated Mjolnir attacks? Does strutting around Jotunheim, Asgard and other realms with all kinds of allies to pop evil Dark Elves and their ilk upside the noggin sound legit? Judging form the game's new second trailer, it looks like fans will be able to do all of that and more on "smartphones and tablets" (sugguesting not just an iOS, but potentially an Android release) in the coming months. You can see the second trailer, plus several new screen shots from Gameloft's upcoming Thor: The Dark World The Official Game, after the jump.
It's getting to where you can set your watch to it: A new superhero movie means a new superhero game for the iPad and iPhone. Case in point: This fall, a new game will hit iOS devices to accompany the release of Thor: The Dark World. The good news is, unlike some superhero-movie-themed games, this one looks pretty fun, with a top-down view and fighting style similar to the X-Men Legends series and Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Check out a few more screenshots and a trailer after the jump.
With its Iron Man 3 mobile tie-in video game set to debut on iOS and Android devices on April 25, Gameloft has released yet another trailer for the endless runner. In the freemium Iron Man 3 - the Official Game, players will "Control Stark Industries" and have the a
