As you can probably tell from the title, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is pretty heavily based around, well, friendship. Being nice to each other, supporting their fellow ponies through the tough times, sharing common interests and overall kindness. So, you know, what better way to express those ideas of friendship and togetherness than by ditching Ponyville and heading out to the high seas for a life of lawless pillaging under as pirates!
That's the premise of Heather Nuhfer and Brenda Hickey's story in MLP:FiM #13, where everyone's favorite Equestrians join up with Hoofbeard the Pirate for an all-new buccaneer adventure.
