If you were hoping that the kind, generous souls at 20th Century Fox might officially release that Deadpool footage from Comic-Con, you should probably keep holding your breath. But we do have some good news: the first official Deadpool trailer will arrive in three weeks, according to Ryan Reynolds.

If you pick up the special Comic-Con print edition of EW, you’ll be greeted with new photos from Deadpool, offering first looks at characters who are not Deadpool. We’ve previously seen photos of Negasonic Teenage Warhead, but thanks to the cast of the upcoming solo film, you can now check out those new photos from EW without a subscription.

Deadpool is coming to Comic-Con this week, but first he needs a ride to San Diego. Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter to post yet another awesome photo of the Merc With a Mouth, this time in a more unofficial capacity as he prepares to head to Comic-Con with 20th Century Fox and the Deadpool crew.

Yesterday we got an awesome new look at Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, in one of the most faithful costumes for a comic book movie we’ve ever seen. Following that photo, 20th Century Fox has released two more of the Merc With the Mouth, and in one of them he’s not alone — he’s joined by his super-powered pal, Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

We haven’t seen a trailer for Deadpool yet, but with Comic-Con fast approaching, we expect that will change very soon. What we do have is a new image of Ryan Reynolds in costume as the “merc with a mouth” and even those who aren’t fond the character have to be impressed. This is the first time a movie superhero has literally looked essentially identical to his comic-book counterpart.

Last time Deadpool and Wolverine got together on the big screen, things didn’t turn out so great. The less said about that, the better. But the new Deadpool solo movie looks like it’s finally going to do the character justice, and if Ryan Reynolds gets his way, we’ll also get a little added bonus to help make up for that whole X-Men Origins: Wolverine thing. Oh, sorry, I said we weren’t going to talk about that.

Deadpool isn’t particularly known for being a nice guy, but you know who is? Ryan Reynolds, the star of the upcoming Deadpool solo movie. Just this weekend, production gifted fans with a very special Mother’s Day photo, and today’s image is a just a bit more rowdy.

Ryan Reynolds sure is staying very active on Twitter with Deadpool — the actor continues to reveal photos from the set and interact with fans, which is a pretty awesome “thank you.” Without those fans, we probably wouldn’t be getting a Deadpool movie at all. Reynolds’ latest photo from the set features the actor in that snazzy full costume, posing alongside his pal, Negasonic Teenage Warhead.

Of the casting additions to the Deadpool solo movie, we already know who pretty much everyone is playing. Ryan Reynolds is Deadpool (obviously), Morena Baccarin is Copycat, T.J. Miller is Weasel, and so on. There’s been just one question mark: who is former Game of Thrones star Ed Skrein playing in the film? We now have an answer.
