Crash Course: Who Are The 'Gotham City Sirens'?
On Tuesday it was announced that Suicide Squad director David Ayer would re-team with Harley Quinn actor Margot Robbie for another DC supervillain movie, this time focused on the female villains of Gotham City, and titled Gotham City Sirens. The film shares a title with a recent DC Comic, but if you're unfamiliar with the run or the concept behind it, we can get you up to speed with a Crash Course.

DC's Universe Collides With Beloved Hanna-Barbera Characters
While DC Comics has had a great 2016 largely thanks to its DC Rebirth initiative, the success of its updated Hanna-Barbera titles such as Future Quest and The Flintstones has been one of the most surprising hits of the year. Next year, DC is doubling down on its classic cartoon characters by teaming them up with some of the most iconic heroes in the DC Universe in a number of special annuals set for release in March.

DC's Latest Kentucky Fried Chicken Promo Comic Is Amazing
DC's latest promotional comic for KFC is a sequel to last year's "The Colonel of Two Worlds," in which Colonel Sanders teamed up with the Flash to fight Colonel Sunder, his evil counterpart from Earth-3. It involves an attack from Sunder that causes eleven of the Colonels Sanders of the Multiverse to each forget all but one of the Eleven Secret Herbs and Spices, meaning that they have to all team up to remember how to make fried chicken, including the Colonel Sanders of the Kingdom Come universe or the far-off future of the Legion of Superheroes. It posits that Colonel Sanders and Kentucky Fried Chicken are multiversal constants within the construct posited by Multiversity and Convergence, on par with Superman and Batman. And it is the single best DC comic of the year.

Neal Adams' 'Superman: The Coming Of The Supermen' #1 Is Weird
The legendary Neal Adams has pretty much had carte blanche at DC Comics in recent years, and the world is a greater place for it. He has given the comics industry so much, and now he's allowed to do whatever he wants, which has already led to the bonkers fever dream that was Batman: Odyssey. When it was announced Adams would be following that up with a spiritual sequel in Superman: The Coming of the Supermen, we all knew it would be something to behold, but no-one could have predicted a comic quite like this would exist in a million years.

Convergence Week 2: Azrael, Gen 13, Kingdom Come And More
Over the past couple of weeks, DC Comics' Convergence event has resulted in some of the most exciting and most bizarre announcements since the company threw out their previous shared universe canon in favor of the "New 52" reboot -- especially since the core idea of next April's big crossover is that they're bringing back a bunch of the versions of characters that they got rid of for a big battle against the new batch. Last week was particularly enticing for long-time fans, teasing us with Greg Rucka's return to writing Renee Montoya in The Question and Gail Simone going back to the fan-favorite pairing of Nightwing/Oracle. This week, they've attempted to top that with a whole new roster of books, and this time they're set in a pre-Flashpoint Metropolis. The second week's launches will see the return of characters from 1996's Kingdom Come and the landmark Justice League International, plus Louise Simonson writing Steel. Of course, we're also getting Azrael and the return of Larry Hama to writing Batman, so someone out there needs to stop wishing on the Monkey's Paw already.
