Fantastic Five: Best Face Turns in Comics
If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our years on the Internet, it’s that there’s no aspect of comics that can’t be broken down and quantified in a single definitive list, preferably in amounts of five or ten. And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics. This week we're counting down the top five face turns in comics, which doesn't mean times when someone turned their head to face another direction. It turns out it is some wrestling business where a bad guy turns good; that's what we're looking at. A surprising number of villains have become popular enough that fans want to see them as headliners, fighting crime in their own formerly villainous ways. This list takes a look at those whose changes have stuck the longest, have had the greatest influence, or who just generally feature in the best stories.

A hero is defined by their villains, and the world of superhero comic books is filled with some of the scariest and silliest bad guys around. Rogues’ Gallery aims to settle the score and determine who is the true arch-nemesis for some of favorite superheroes, and we need your help to do it! The Flash's villains aren't as scary as Batman's or as personal as Spider-Man's, but they are a collection of some of the strangest villains associated with any character in comics. Yet the question remains, which Flash villain can be considered his arch-nemesis?

"Trickster is amazing. ... It has replaced the 40th floor Hyatt bar." That was the endorsement made by Bob Schreck of Legendary Comics at a round table discussion at Trickster in San Diego on Thursday. For years the 40th floor bar at the Manchester Grand Hyatt was the essential after-hours spot for anyone looking to network with publishers, editors and creators...

If you've never been to San Diego's Comic-Con International, it's hard to picture just how huge and insane it truly is. Last year's attendance numbers topped out around 120,000 people, turning the little town that Ron Burgundy made famous into a nightmarish maelstrom of Twilight shantytowns, promotional blitzes and a decibel level akin to a black metal concert...

As part of the growing creator-owned comics activism (and perhaps as a response to the increasingly extra-comics nature of Comic-Con International), a large group of comics writers and artists have conspired to created TR!CKSTER, a multi-purpose event and retail space across the street from the San Diego Convention Center, site of this summer's massive comics convention...
