Leonardo DiCaprio To Produce Biopic On ‘Calvin And Hobbes’ Creator Bill Watterson

It's been an odd year for Bill Watterson. The iconic Calvin and Hobbes creator -- whose reclusive nature has informed his legacy almost as much as his brilliant comic strip in recent years -- saw the release last month of a documentary about the cartoonist and his legendary comic strip. Shortly before its release, Watterson engaged in a rare interview as well.

After all of that, it seemed as if the increased attention on the cartoonist would begin to wane again. Instead, it's only going to increase, as its been revealed that actor Leonardo DiCrapio will be producing a biopic of Watterson.

Even More Possible ‘Batman vs. Superman’ Titles Revealed

Earlier this week, Warner Bros. reportedly registered a bunch of domains that could indicate the official title of the next Man of Steel movie, currently referred to as "Batman Vs. Superman." As titles go... they hit about the way "The Phantom Menance" did for Star Wars fans circa 1999.

The domains are hit-you-over-the-head-with-a-streetlamp thematic, and translate to titles like "Man of Steel: Black of Knight" and "Man of Steel: Beyond Darkness." There's scads of knight/night puns, Batman references and loads of DARKNESS. So we started thinking, why not come up with some titles of our own? There are so many possibilities, and so many puns involving "knight" that Warner Bros. seems to be leaving on the table. Fans who are clamoring for a Wonder Woman movie just gained a pretty big ally in the form of Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara.

Speaking at an entertainment law conference this weekend, Tsujihara told the gathered crowd that the studio's lack of superhero movies outside of the Superman and Batman franchises was a "missed opportunity," and expressed his desire to focus on developing a Wonder Woman project, saying "We need to get Wonder Woman on the big screen or TV."
