Ever since DC launched Batman '66, the crossover that virtually everyone wanted was a meeting between the Adam West-era Caped Crusader and Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman. Now, it's happening in the pages of Batman '66 Meets Wonder Woman '77, a crossover from Jeff Parker, Marc Andreyko, David Hahn, and Karl Kesel that takes place across three different eras, pitting Batman and Wonder Woman against Ra's al-Ghul, Talia, and a handful of other special guest villains. It's an incredibly entertaining story that goes well beyond what both series were able to do on TV. To find out more about it, ComicsAlliance spoke to Hahn and Kesel about the challenge of drawing a story with three different flavors of retro style, and the era's perfect "casting" of Ra's al-Ghul, and we got a first look at this week's issue.

Have there been a ton more movie stills being released lately, or is it just me? Not even Alien: Covenant’s trailer release stopped that account from posting more photos, and even more have arrived this week from the It remake to Ghost in the Shell. Even without her lasso and gauntlets and sword, Wonder Woman is still plenty powerful — but those things sure do help, and they look cool as hell. Like, really cool. Functionally speaking, Diana’s accessories have always been pretty awesome, but some of them (lookin’ at you, lasso) have occasionally come off as a bit corny. As we’ve seen in the trailers, Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins have ensured that there’s nothing silly about them, but when it comes to that sword, there’s no debate: It rules. This month in DC's March solicitations, there are a few big shake-ups in the two Titans books as each team gets a new member that fans have been waiting to see for a long time. With zero female-led superhero movies since 2008’s Iron Man, and one of the best movie trailers of the year, Patty Jenkins has a lot of expectations to fulfill with her upcoming Wonder Woman. Ideally, she shouldn’t, and we’d have an equal number of men and women leading the charge against Chitauri or Dark Elves or warmongering arms dealers, but the prospect of finally seeing a powerful lady at the center of her own movie is exciting nonetheless. But with all these guy protagonists out there, how do you make a female superhero relatable? It’s not actually that hard. Just treat her like a male superhero.

What may go down as one of the worst years in recent memory is slowly crawling to a close, and while we wish it good riddance and hope against hope that 2017 will be an improvement, there is some small solace in looking back over the year that's passed and figuring out what stuff from it was the best. Justice League Action, premiering this Friday, December 16, at 6 PM EST on Cartoon Network, is the first new TV version of the Justice League since Justice League Unlimited ended in 2006. From the advance promos, we knew the show was aiming for a younger audience from that show, but beyond a few casting announcements we didn't know many details. Now we've had a chance to watch this week's premiere episode, and we have plenty to say about it. This review deals with the basic plot elements of the episode, and details which characters appear, but beyond that we'll do our best to avoid spoilers.
