The Top Five Generation One Pokemon
If there's one thing we've learned from our years on the Internet, it's that there's no aspect of comics that can't be broken down and quantified in a single definitive list, preferably in amounts of five or ten. And since there's no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we're taking it upon ourselves to compile lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics.
This week, as Pokémon Alpha Sapphire continues to occupy most of my time, I've turned my attention all the way back to 1998 to bring you the five best first-generation Pokémon. That's right, the stars of Red and Blue are taking center stage here as I pare down the original 151 to a handful of the best of the best -- and if you don't already know who's clocking in at #1, I'll give you a hint: It's Bulbasaur.
Show Notes:
- To learn more about Pokémon, feel free to educate yourself at the almost disturbingly thorough Bulbapedia.
- For a really good fan-made version of the original crew, check out Kari Fry's Field Guide To Kanto. It makes a dandy gift, too.
- Snorlax is the M-F, and that's no L-I-E.
