A few months ago, Bryan Singer revealed some concept art from X-Men: Apocalypse, which featured Angel in a cage with his glorious wings fully expanded. The latest set photo from the film shows Singer filming this sequence with Ben Hardy, and shines some more light on the context of the scene, which has something to do with a fight club.

Singer posted the following photo on Instagram, featuring Hardy in a cage, screaming, while on the other monitor we see an announcer of some sort. In the background, you can see spectators cheering:

The caption offers that this scene takes place in East Berlin in 1982 — the new sequel centers on the younger mutant cast in the ‘80s, as they face off with their fiercest, most earth-shattering opponent yet: Oscar Isaac’s titular villain, Apocalypse.

It looks as though we’ll see Hardy’s Angel (aka Warren Worthington III) transform into Archangel, and as Isaac previously revealed during Comic-Con, he’ll be one of Apocalypse’s Four Horsemen — alongside Olivia Munn’s Psylocke, Alexandra Shipp’s Storm and Michael Fassbender’s Magneto.

Previous photos from the set have teased Storm’s origin story in Cairo, as well as a new sequence involving Evan Peters’ Quicksilver.

X-Men: Apocalypse features returning cast members Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy, Nicholas Hoult, Lucas Till, and Rose Byrne (reprising her role from X-Men: First Class), along with new cast members Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner and Lana Condor. The film hits theaters on May 27, 2016.
