This behind the scenes look at Batman: Arkham Knight focuses on both the Riddler's underground challenges and the Caped Crusader's revamped ride.

The latest Arkham Insider video features Batman: Arkham Knight director Sefton Hill explaining many of the design choices that went into this new project. Hill explains that the Batmobile has been an iconic cornerstone of the Batman mythos, and Rocksteady always wanted to authentically recreate the full Dark Knight experience, which includes being able to glide across the rooftops of Gotham City and patrolling the streets from the Batmobile. Luckily, there is more to the Batmobile sequences of the game than just driving around the streets and destroying the Arkham Knight's forces. During the Arkham Insider's Q&A section, Hill revealed that whatever skin you're using in Arkham Knight will be the same model that appears during the game's cutscenes.

The Batmobile has its own sets of gadgets that will help Batman explore Gotham, such as grappling hooks in the front that can help pull down obstacles. It also has a giant EMP that lets you short circuit nearby Arkham Knight drones. You have the ability to hack unmanned drones and tanks and turn them to your side (courtesy of Lucius Fox). Don't forget that the Batmobile has omni-directional wheels that lets you move in any direction during combat mode.

The video then focuses on the Batmobile's pursuit mode, giving us a look at Batman's ride moving at full speed. The Riddler has secret underground tunnels that will push both Batman and his car to the limit. You'll need to use your brain in order to navigate the Riddler's funhouse-style buildings as fast as you can in order to catch him before he's gone.

Batman: Arkham Knight will answer the Bat-Signal on June 23 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
