'Cute' is sometimes an under-valued concept. 'Adorable' as a word can seem dismissive and diminishing. But there are times when these are not only the right words to use, but perhaps the highest compliments one could offer, because cute and adorable can be great. In the case of Becky Dreistadt and Frank Gibson's Boom Studios series Capture Creatures, "cute" and "adorable" are words that shine with a clear and exalting purpose; for this series is cute, and it is adorable, and it is great! If you don't believe me, check out this exclusive preview to issue #4, on sale next week.

If you're unfamiliar with the series, its genesis is a simple one. Dreistadt and Gibson (better known as Becky and Frank) love creature fiction --- as they told us when we interviewed them late last year. They started making their own index of delightful creatures on the website where their webcomic Tiny Kitten Teeth appears, and creating the creatures created a world, and creating a world created a comic. Like the creatures themselves, Capture Creatures evolved. And also like the creatures, it never stops being cute and adorable.

In this latest installment, our creature-capturing heroes encounter the beardy brother "protectors" of an island where a fearsome badger roams. But with the badger out of the way, can the brothers summon the courage to leave their home?
