Despite being one of the most inscrutable pieces of film marketing in recent memory, the teaser trailer for David Fincher's adaptation of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is definitely among the most memorable -- and the most awesome. The synthetic, Led Zeppelin-inspired sounds of Nine Inch Nail's Trent Reznor and Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O playing over a visual frenzy of variously tense and ominous Fincher imagery made the trailer itself kind of a classic, which of course means it is ripe for parody.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trailer is the basis for the latest in a series of parody clips created in support of The Muppets, a new film based on the classic Jim Henson characters. Check it out after the cut.
