One of the more memorable Hulk stories in the character's long history, Peter David and George Pérez's Future Imperfect tale from 1993 saw the Hulk transported nearly 100 years into an imperfect dystopian future ruled by an even more powerful version of himself called, amazingly, the Masetro, and in complete command of his distinctly non-savage, less imperfect Bruce Banner mind.
in 2015, Marvel readers will be transported back to that alternate, imperfect future where there is only Hulk as part of what we are increasingly believing to be a dimension of Jonathan Hickman and Esad Ribic's Secret Wars -- itself a callback of sorts to a famous if imperfect storyline of Marvel's past, whose possibly imperfect future arrival has been heralded by a torrent of teasers referencing other similarly momentous if imperfect events of the past.
This teaser, provided exclusively to ComicsAlliance, was drawn by Dale Keown, one of very few Hulk artists whose visions of the green goliath could be described as definitive.
Back in January, Marvel announced that writer/artist Kaare Andrews would be returning to comics for a new Iron Fist ongoing series. Now, with Iron Fist: The Living Weaponset to debut in April, we're getting closer look at what we can expect to see from the new book.
Coming off the "Battle of the Atom" storyline, the All New X-Men are entering "The Trial of Jean Grey." A crossover between Guardians of the Galaxy and All-New X-Men, the story features the original X-Men, brought into the present from the past, dealing with an alien race that has decided to put Jean Grey on trial for the crimes of the Phoenix, which she has yet to commit in her own timeline.
For the variant covers to the series, Marvel has enlisted veteran artist Dale Keown. Perhaps best known for his work on The Incredible Hulk in the early '90s, Keown is not quite as prolific with interior comics art as he once was, but he's still occasionally producing cover work for Marvel, in addition to his creator-owned comics. For this series, Keown has produced variants for each issue -- taking place in All New X-Men #22-24 and Guardians of the Galaxy #11-13 -- with each piece spotlighting a member of each team. And, yes, Angel and Angela are paired up, because of course they are.
