Among the colorful cosplay, massive booths, interactive displays and walls of merchandise at Comic-Con International in San Diego — colloquially known as SDCC — remains the most important component of the show: comic book creators. ComicsAlliance photographer and Loikiamania podcast host Pat Loika hit the show floor to catch the men and women who tell our favorite stories in sequential art and captured the enthusiasm that comes from fans getting to meet their favorite storytellers at one of the biggest conventions of the year.
Check back with ComicsAlliance throughout the weekend for more of Pat’s great photos from San Diego.
The Marvel TV panel at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday featured several cast revelations that offer some hints about the shape of the second season of Agents of SHIELD. The panel also featured a couple of videos -- a blooper reel, which you can after the cut, courtesy of Entertainment Weekly, and a comedy bit with Patton Oswalt as Agent(s) Koenig.
The Oswalt video is mainly notable for hinting at another possible cast addition -- none other than comic book Avenger Bobbi Morse, aka Mockingbird. If she's really joining the cast, it could be a good omen for Agents of SHIELD's second season, which begins September 22nd on ABC at the new time of 9pm.

In addition to announcing that Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.has been renewed for a second season (rumor had it the show was on the bubble after a rocky start -- or at least a rocky year of CA recaps), they're also promising a new series based on Peggy Carter, the British spy played by Hayley Atwell in Captain America: The First Avenger. She'll retain the role in the new series, and it'll share a title with the Marvel "One-Shot" included in the Iron Man 3 Blu-Ray package,Agent Carter.
It's very, very early days, and there are a host of factors standing between the idea and its realization, but maybe, just maybe, there might one day be a Peggy Carter TV show set in Marvel's Cinematic Universe. Mmmmmaybe.
Deadline reports a rumor that a TV series centered on the World War II secret agent - first seen on screen in Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger - is in early stages of development. The character was played in the movie by Hayley Atwell, who reprised the role for an Agent Carter short that appears as an extra on the Iron Man 3 DVD, out next week.
Two weeks after announcing that a new "one-shot" short film starring Agent Peggy Carterfrom Captain America: The First Avenger would be accompanying the new Iron Man 3 Blu-ray set, Marvel has released the first clip, which features actress Hayley Atwell as the title character making short work of some impolite thugs. Shooting has now begun on Captain America: The Winter Soldier, and the studio has released the first photo from the set, seen above. With production underway, Marvel Entertainment has announced the final cast for the film, including Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackso
