Vampironica Returns For A Showdown In ‘Betty And Veronica’ #262
The Halloween season is truly upon us, even in the normally sleepy town of Riverdale. In last month’s Betty & Veronica #261, Archie’s hometown came under siege from an army of vampire clones in what is easily the third or fourth craziest Archie story of all time, and now, it’s time for the sequel.
That’s right, everybody: This week brings us the release of “Betty the Vampire Slayer vs. Vampironica II: The Revenge!”, a spoooooky tale of bloodthirsty clones, accidental stabbings, midnight surfing, and weaponized pizza. Check out a five-page preview of Betty & Veronica #262 after the cut!
For the record, I just want to point out that this is not a dream, a hoax or an imaginary story. Vampire clones of the gang — including a conspicuously shirtless Reggie Mantle — are now a full-on part of Archie continuity. Of course, given that they’ve been friends with an actual teenage witch from two towns over for the past 40 years, I don’t suppose that’s really much of a surprise.
B&V #262 hits shelves today with a cover price of $2.99!
