Comics Alliance Rates The Avengers Hunks
The 1989 Avengers West Coast Annual featured an unusual short story by Mark Waid and then-newcomer Amanda Conner called "Rate The Hunks," in which Wasp and She-Hulk offered their expert assessment on the sex appeal of their male Avengers colleagues. Almost thirty years later, we've assembled our own experts to repeat the exercise, with an updated twist.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned from our years on the Internet, it’s that there’s no aspect of comics that can’t be broken down and quantified in a single definitive list, preferably in amounts of five or ten. And since there’s no more definitive authority than ComicsAlliance, we’re taking it upon ourselves to compile Top Five lists of everything you could ever want to know about comics. This week, we’re looking at five of Cap’s most memorable team-ups that don’t involve the people he hangs around all the time in the Avengers or his famous partnerships with characters like Bucky, Sharon Carter, and the Falcon.
Steve Rogers And The Legacy Of Captain America

Steve Rogers And The Legacy Of Captain America
Since the dawn of the Silver Age, legacy characters have been a staple of superhero fiction, and having a new character step into a well-loved role can open up new opportunities for writers and artists to tell different kinds of stories. In this new feature, I’ll be looking back at some of the notable and not-so-notable heroes and villains that have assumed some of the most iconic mantles in the superhero genre. For our first installment, we’re looking at the legacy of Captain America, and the men who have carried the flag in Steve Rogers’ stead. From America’s wartime shame to Steve’s very best friend, there have perhaps been more people to wield the shield than you may have realized, and not all of them have been as virtuous and upstanding as the man himself.

Those devils at CineFix are at it again, this time taking their retro-inspired gaming talents to the greatest Marvel movie ever made in the history of the universe, Captain America: The Winter Soldier. We're big fans of CineFix's 8-bit remakes of classic films, and though Winter Soldier isn't quite as classic as Scarface or Titanic (yet), it's definitely one of the most memorable Marvel movies since the heroes started making the leap from the panel to the screen. Seeing many of the big moments from the feature film revisited here in a style reminiscent of Mega Man only served to remind us just how amazing Winter Soldier was, and still is today.

Greatest Best Favorite Avenger Ever: Group G
With Avengers: Age of Ultron just around the corner, interest in these heroes has never been greater, so we’ve decided to pit all the official comic book Avengers against each other in a battle for your affections. Who is the greatest, best, favorite Avenger of all time? Only you can decide. We’ve created voting groups that mix up different eras of Avengers membership. Group G features Captain America again, but a different one. How will Bucky fare against the last of our original movie Avengers, Hawkeye, and a guy who might be a future movie Avenger, Spider-Man? And do Silverclaw and Sunfire stand a chance in this sort of company? The top two or three Avengers will go through to the next round, so vote tactically!

Vote on the Best and Worst Comic Book Romances, Round VII
From Wally West and Linda Park, to Harley Quinn and Mistah J, we're asking you to vote on comics' most famous couples so we can determine the best (and worst) romantic partnerships that comics have to offer. If you think the couple is star-crossed and meant to be, vote 'True Love.' If you think they've got unstable chemistry and can only end badly, vote 'Bad Romance.' In today's polls, we're looking at matched pairs. Hawkfolk. Acrobats. Size-shifting bug-themed heroes. When it comes to love, is it always opposites that attract, or is the secret to a lasting relationship the shared ability to breathe underwater? Fun fact: This is what Carrie Bradshaw would sound like if she lived in the Marvel or DC universe. Let's try another; If you want to build a future together, does it help to share a history of murdering people for the Russians?

Ask Chris #223: Heroic Duos In Comic Books
Q: Why aren’t there more heroic duos or “tag teams?” -- @awa64 A: Friend, I don't usually like to start off these columns by specifically denying the premise of the question, but there are a lot of heroic duos in the world of superhero comics. I mean, even if we're just limiting ourselves to the most famous superheroes out there, the top of that list is going to include both the World's Finest and the Dynamic Duo, and you don't have to look much harder to find other pairings further down the list. Unless, of course, you're specifically asking why there aren't more actual pro wrestling tag teams that have taken up crime-fighting when they're not busy in the ring, in which case I have no idea, but rest assured that is something I want to see.
