Viz Media Launches Free Daily Digital Manga Section
Since 2012, Viz Media has fought the omnipresence of poorly translated bootleg manga by offering weekly manga chapters published simultaneously with Japan in the digital Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. Now Viz has gone one step further in that cause by unveiling a new section of Weekly Shonen Jump's website with free official translations of popular and new series posted daily.

Stan Lee, Naruto and Sword Art Online Join the Funko Ranks
The world of Funko just got a little bit more animated thanks to the new additions coming to the anime portion of the Pop line. No longer will you have to worry about trying to hunt down import figures for the likes of Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, Soul Eater or Naruto, as you'll be able to pick up vinyl figures based on those starting right now. Yeah, you heard me (read me?). Not only did Funko announce these new figures, but they're actually available today. Perfect time for stocking stuffers. Interestingly enough, this is the first time many of these properties are making the leap to the Pop format. Given how long Pops have been around and how absolutely bonkers fans of these anime shows are, it's hard to believe Funko is only just getting around the releasing these. It bodes well for the future of anime at Funko, too.

Believe It! Looking Back at the Legacy of 'Naruto'
It's been one year since the end of one of manga’s modern epics, Naruto. After 15 years of weekly publication and 700 chapters, Masashi Kishimoto wrapped up his shonen masterwork on his own terms, with critics and audiences behind him every step of the way. A look back at the series reveals a deep story about legacy, dreams and — like all shonen manga — the power and meaning of friendship.

Comixology Adds Huge Chunk of VIZ Media Manga
Good news, manga fans who prefer Comixology over all other digital comics platforms: it's now easier to get your VIZ Media manga fix. This seems to be part of VIZ's ongoing dedication to diversifying the platforms their digital manga is available on, which leaders at the company reported as important over a year ago. As of this week, VIZ has added 650 volumes - over 65 total series - to the Comixology library. These titles are from those originally published by Shogakukan in Japan. This brings the grand total of VIZ offerings up on Comixology to 190 series and 1,100 volumes. Plus, to celebrate this occasion, there's a sale on a few VIZ bundles to get your collection started or to continue building your collection.

This week's fun at San Diego's Comic-Con International isn't just about stuff you can buy. I mean, yes, that's kind of the entire point of the convention, but in addition to new and exclusive products, plenty of publishers are offering unique experiences to lure you into their booths, and Viz Media is going the extra mile. In addition to new books like the Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary hardcover and The Art of Princess Mononoke, they're giving attendees the chance to take photos with characters like Doraemon and Hello Kitty. That's right: a photo op with Hello Kitty. If you see me crying with joy on the con floor, that's why. Check out the rest of the exclusives belo
