I mean, yes, that's kind of the entire point of the convention, but in addition to new and exclusive products, plenty of publishers are offering unique experiences to lure you into their booths, and Viz Media is going the extra mile. In addition to new books like the Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary hardcover and The Art of Princess Mononoke, they're giving attendees the chance to take photos with characters like Doraemon and Hello Kitty.

Fans got their first look at Bandai's S.H. Figuarts take on Masashi Kishimoto's Naruto this past February at Toy Fair 2014, but now the action figure's proper release information has been unscrolled. Over at the Tamashii website, it's been loosed that this Naruto: Shippuden era version of the character will arrive in Japan in July and the United States in an estimated September.
Having spent enough to support a small child on Bandai's S.H. Figuarts action figure line, I was a bit relieved to see that Bluefin Tamashii Nations' Toy Fair 2014 booth was relatively relaxed in terms of never-before-seen figures. My relief didn't last too long, however, as I took in the big items from the show. Not only did we get a second, more fleshed-out look at the upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us Batman, we also got to scope out a Shippuden-style Naruto and an articulated Michael Jackson in his Moonwalker getup.

Yesterday saw the launch of Weekly Shonen Jump, the latest incarnation of Viz Media's anthology collecting material from the Japanese title of the same name. The reason for the relaunch is a good one, though: Now the digital magazine will include material released on the same day in the original Japanese version.
