It looks like 2015 is shaping up to be a pretty good year to be a sidekick. Not only have we seen the return of Damian Wayne in the pages of Robin: Son of Batman and the expansion of the role into a whole new team of teen wonders in We Are... Robin, but today at Comic-Con International in San Diego, DC announced that Batman's partners in crime-fighting would be at the center of two major events in the Batman titles. In October, Batman & Robin Eternal will kick off as a weekly series with a focus on characters like Dick Grayson, Tim Drake, Jason Todd and Harper Row, and in December, We Are... Robin, Robin: Son of Batman and Gotham Academy will cross over for "Robin War."

At its Star Wars panel at Comic-Con International in San Diego Friday, Marvel announced that Han Solo's trusty co-pilot and better half will get his very own five-issue miniseries, written by Gerry Duggan (Deadpool) and with art by Phil Noto (Black Widow) starting in October.

Marvel Studios may not be at Comic-Con 2015, but that’s not keeping some stars from talking up the studio and its potential projects. It’s been 11 years since the release of the disappointing Blade: Trinity, which sent the comic book film franchise out on a sour note, leaving fans hopeful for a more proper send-off for our favorite half-vampire hero. That never happened, but Wesley Snipes is still giving fans hope.

Partially to get there before it became to crowded to photograph the insane amount of products on display, but mostly because we had to see all the figures and statues that would break our wallets in the coming year. From Wolverine and Red Sonja to Star Wars and Transformers, Sideshow Collectibles SDCC '15 reveals will have fans of just about everything on Earth excited.

With most of its major hits and standout series having run their course months or years ago, Vertigo has been due for a renaissance for a while now. Judging from the announcements made at San Diego Comic Con late on Thursday, the publisher may be rallying, with 12 new series set to launch in the closing months of 2015 at a rate of one new issue #1 every week. Those 12 titles include a couple of previously announced books that have been rescheduled, but enough new announcements to suggest that Vertigo means to impress with its ambition. Sci fi and the supernatural are inevitably well represented, and the roster includes veteran talents, emerging names, and a few cross-disiplinary transfers in the form of novelists Lauren Beukes and Holly Black — the latter on a relaunch of Lucifer — and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke.

San Diego Comic-Con is underway, bringing over 130,000 people to enjoy the pop culture extravaganza taking place inside and outside the convention center. There is a lot to see and do every day during SDCC. More likely than not, if you don't go in with a plan for experiencing the things that you most want to check out, you'll miss them!

Sony PlayStation’s first original series, Powers managed to handcuff a second season to debut in 2016, for which the first season finale left a staggering mystery. Now at Comic-Con 2015, the Powers panel reveals the addition of fan-favorite writer Ben Edlund, some candid reflection on Season 1, and a major new superhero to boot.

Well that didn’t take very long. Just a couple of hours ago we learned that Ben Affleck will co-write, direct and star in a new Batman solo movie ahead of his appearance at Comic-Con 2015 this Saturday. If you thought you’d have to wait to learn more details about the project, DC’s chief creative officer and comic book writer Geoff Johns is already dropping hints.

Comic-Con International is only ever about two steps from descending into complete anarchy, and this year, we didn't even make it through Day One before society began the inevitable breakdown that will eventually see San Diego's Gaslamp descend into a pop cultural Thunderdome. The signs were there all along, but if you missed them, consider this: Someone has stolen Comic Book Resources' golf cart.

Good news for people who enjoy watching fights that employ both chi-powered fireballs and telepathic control of crocodiles: At Comic-Con International in San Diego, Capcom announced that the Street Fighter series of video games is going to cross over with GI Joe in the form of a six-issue miniseries from IDW.
