Marvel Minimates series 51 is spilling over into the Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum's 17th series of Toys "R" Us exclusive toys, but with only two crossover figures from both lines. With the Thor: The Dark World movie release date just around the corner on November 8, Art Asylum and Diamond Select Toys have rolled out a close look at their full line of Marvel Minimates for the film. Early 2013 is going to be the time of year that Marvel Minimates fans will have the perfect response to the question, "What's Cap'penning?" Because... well... there's just a bunch of Captain America characters in Series 54, okay?! Jeeeez.

The final chunk of 2013 should be a boon to Thunderbolts fans and, um, Undeadheads? who dig Minimates. Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum will release a special Marvel Minimates Zombie Villains Box Set in October, followed by a Marvel Now! Thunderbolts Box Set in January of 2014.
