It's not often, but every now and then have to look at things that aren't covered by pictures of Batman, and this is clearly the biggest problem in my life. Fortunately, Mondo is taking steps to minimize this problem in the best way possible. Here at ComicsAlliance, we've been excited about this ever since it was announced a few months back, but on October 24, they're kicking off their gallery show in Austin celebrating the Dark Knight's 75th anniversary. There are some some truly incredible portraits, continuing a long year of great comics and pop-culture inspired art that's included stuff like the Batman: The Animated Series and Guardians of the Galaxy soundtracks. We've seen a sample of what they have to offer, and they are beautiful. Check 'em out below!

It looks like the good folks over at Mondo have been on quite a tear lately when it comes to cornering the market on comic book themed vinyl records. Just a few months ago at San Diego's Comic-Con International, they put out a limited edition Batman: The Animated Series soundtrack, and now, they've announced that they're following that up with a collectible edition of the soundtrack to Guardians of the Galaxy.

It comes as only the best kind of surprise that Mondo will expand its operations into the realm of collectible toys, and the company has some auspicious products to announce its arrival in the new space. In addition to a vinyl figure based directly off of Kevin Eastman's very first drawing of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Mondo will release what's perhaps the most handsome collectible ever for The Iron Giant; a 16" figure with numerous accessories that's a fitting tribute to Brad Bird's excellent film about a killer robot inspired to heroism by Superman comic books.

Now, it's got a convention to showcase even more cool art. MondoCon will take place at Austin’s Marchesa Hall & Theater September 20 and 21, and the guest list is pretty amazing: It includes Hellboy creator Mike Mignola (who just created a new, amazing Bride of Frankenstein poster for Mondo), Afterlife With Archie's Francesco Francavilla, revered horror artist Bernie Wrightson, Shaolin Cowboy creator Geof Darrow, ComicsAlliance favorite Jock, Mondo's animated Batman poster designers Phantom City Creative, and a bunch more.

Following its successful gallery exhibition and sale of excellent Marvel Comics portraits by Mike MItchell, the Mondo crew is back with more Marvel artwork in the form of this gorgeous Elektra illustration by Craig Drake. Like most Mondo offerings, Drake's Elektra print will go on sale at a random time and be available only while extremely limited supplies last.
