Funko Reveals NYCC 2015 Exclusive Collectibles
With October just around the bend, that means it's time for cooler weather, cooler costumes and the biggest comic book convention on the east coast. Yes, New York Comic Con is bearing down on us faster than we're prepared to deal with it, but that's okay. We'll make do. In addition to incredible amount of stuff happening at the show, there will be a lot of great stuff up for grabs. As busy as Funko was at San Diego Comic-Con, its plate looks to be equally as filled at NYCC this coming year. This week, Funko is unveiling all of its planned exclusive items, with a new batch coming every single day. While the availability of each is likely to be a bit more open than it was at SDCC, these things will still be limited. If you're hoping to get any, definitely plan ahead and around any and all panels you hope to make it to this year.

ThreeA has long been crafting original figures and collectibles based on the art and designs of co-founder Ashley Wood, but in recent years, the company has expanded its reach with a variety of licenses in comics, animation and films. That essence of Wood's aesthetic is still ever present though, and his influence still informs the design sense for many of ThreeA's upcoming pieces. At San Diego Comic-Con this year, the company went all out with a major presentation of its upcoming slate. Normally included as a small part of IDW's booth, ThreeA's installation this year was set up like an art show, and showed off a great deal of promising figures in a range of scales and sizes. With figures from Frederator and 2000 AD, as well as Marvel, it appears the company is finally ready to make a big splash in the market beyond its original works.

In the year 3085, four teenagers travel time and space saving the universe one planet at a time. Thanks to ThreeA, in the year 2015, you'll be able to bring these little Bravest Warriors home. As part of a collaboration with Frederator, ThreeA will be releasing the cast of Bravest Warriors as sixth-scale action figures this year. The series kicks off with bestest of friends, Chris Kirkman and Beth Tezuka, each captured in their full animated personas. At sixth-scale, Chris will come in at a sizeable 11.9" tall (mostly due to the splendiferous do), and Beth will arrive at just a hair under 10.5" in height.

Hire This Woman is a recurring feature on ComicsAlliance that shines a spotlight on female comics creators, whether they're relative newcomers or experienced pros who are ready to break out. In an overwhelmingly male business, we want to draw your attention to these creators --- and to raise their profile with editors and industry gatekeepers. Artist Genevieve FT has worked in animation and video games, but also has a love of comics. She's drawn Garfield comics as well as covers for Adventure Time, Bravest Warriors, and Archie Comics.

Boom! Studios Launches Incredible Humble Bundle Deal
We've written about the Humble Bundle before here at ComicsAlliance, but let's be real here: It's kind of the perfect idea. Being able to pay what you want to grab a whole cartload of comics while also supporting a charity is a setup that has literally no downside, and it's almost impossible to take advantage of -- especially when it's something like the new Boom! Studios bundle. For the next two weeks, you'll be able to pay what you want for a massive amount of downloadable comics while also supporting the good work of the Comic Book Legal defense Fund. And, if you pay at least $15, you'll get ComicsAlliance favorites like Lumberjanes, The Midas Flesh and Bee and Puppycat thrown in for good measure. The interesting thing about this particular bundle is that it includes some very recent comics. Books like Lumberjanes #4 and Midas Flesh #8 were only released this month, and RoboCop #2 actually came out in stores today. Being able to get them here digitally is a pretty big deal.

This week's fun at San Diego's Comic-Con International isn't just about stuff you can buy. I mean, yes, that's kind of the entire point of the convention, but in addition to new and exclusive products, plenty of publishers are offering unique experiences to lure you into their booths, and Viz Media is going the extra mile. In addition to new books like the Hello Kitty 40th Anniversary hardcover and The Art of Princess Mononoke, they're giving attendees the chance to take photos with characters like Doraemon and Hello Kitty. That's right: a photo op with Hello Kitty. If you see me crying with joy on the con floor, that's why. Check out the rest of the exclusives belo

Terrifyingly, it's just a few weeks until Comic-Con International annexes most of downtown San Diego and with it, our souls. But with a new comics convention comes a new offering of exclusive stuff from BOOM! Studios. The publisher of the Adventure Time line of comics as well Lumberjanes and Bee and Puppycat and others is known among rarities collectors for its convention-only releases, and they'll be back at their booth with more at this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Check out the company's latest assortment of exclusives below, including the hardcover Mathematical Edition of Adventure Time: Marceline and the Scream Queens.

The greater population of ComicsAlliance are already huge fans of Pendleton Ward's Bravest Warriors series for Cartoon Hangover and its BOOM! Studios spinoff, but I confess that the project was stuck in my "to-do" pile while Caleb Goellner blogged about it with the expertise and enthusiasm you've come to expect from this site. Fortunately for me, Caleb's exit from CA syncs up with the arrival of Kate Leth, who takes over as the new writer of Bravest Warriors beginning with next week's issue #25. Joined by artist Ian McGinty, Leth's first issue, as it turns out, is a good entry point for new readers curious to check out just what all the fuss is about.

Every weekend here at CA we’re cracking open the latest and/or just greatest action figures around to see what sets them apart from the articulated plastic pack. This week we’re unboxing Pop Culture Shock Toys' new line of Bravest Warriors bendies, which includes Chris, Beth, Wallow and Danny. We've been curious about the line since prototypes debuted at NYCC 2013, and having ordered the full set from WeLoveFine, we can finally see if they deliver.

When it comes to Bravest Warriors, nobody steals the show like the contagiously obnoxious Impossibear. Sure, Catbug is the show's king of cuteness (and already got the spotlight back in January with the Bravest Warriors 2014 Annual #1), but only Wallow's multicolored pet/compatriot/roommate is capable of the kind of brazen self-interest and sloth that lets you know he thinks the entire show should
